Amazon Associates Affiliate Program – Experiment 3

I love that the WooZone plugin combines my favorite aStore features with the ability to style and make listings look like they are a part of my site. It is so convincing that brand owners have contacted me for help figuring out who is selling their products.

My plan is to use this plugin for Experiment 3 until it proves itself profitable, then I will license a second copy for Experiement 4.

WooZone plugin for WooCommerce using On-Site cart, Healthy-C.com

The WooZone plugin can sync product prices, images, and descriptions from Amazon to my site. There, visitors can add multiple items to their cart before being redirected to Amazon for checkout.

  • This option uses the Amazon API to send a pre-filled cart request to Amazon.com. Unfortunately, these requests are received by a browser page that is not mobile-friendly. (Update: As of August 2020, 86% of Healthy-C.com’s visitors are on desktop devices.)
  • Example at https://healthy-c.com/shop/omica-organics-shower-filter
  • Healthy-C is old but severely neglected. My best month had 19 visitors! This will be about as close as I get to “starting from scratch” in 2020.

Alternatively, there is an option to have a “Buy Now” button that takes customers straight to the product page in Amazon. I plan to try that in Experiment 4.

Experiment 3 Timeline:

December 2019: This website was so unbelievably neglected earlier this year! I spent a few weeks rebuilding in May, but I didn’t get far. I will spend the next few weeks cleaning out the clutter so I can start fresh in 2020.

January 2020: There are so many article ideas going through my head! But I need to research to make sure everything I publish is accurate. For now, I will focus more on importing products that I feel are worth sharing.

May 2020: Did you know that Amazon will close your associate’s account if you don’t generate 3 qualifying purchases in the first 180 days? I was so relieved to see traffic pick up this month so I could meet that quota!

Surprisingly, this is the only experiment that is generating qualifying sales.  Probably because we are in a pandemic and this is my most health-focused website.
